Bursa is the first Ottoman capital and is prosperous city to the south of Istanbul. Famous for the ‘Iskender Kebab’ and candied chestnuts. As it sits at the base of an extinct volcano (Uludag), the city is also famous for its Turkish baths. The one I go to in this video is the oldest (est 1555) in the city but ironically it’s called the New Hamam (Yeni Kaplica).
The other drawcard of Bursa is the ski fields. There are hotels and ski lifts at the summit of Uludag. This is a clip Boyd Kaan made of his trip up
